Comments:

- Given the charge planning of the botanists of the IRD, the floral inventory of Nékoro will actually begin in 2003 (Action I-5).

- For the action I-6, the inventory of invasion situations will be completed at the end of the 2003 rainy season when the species will be in a phenological stage that is more recognizable and the weather is more favorable.

- The action I-7, not initially planned for 2002, was launched to take advantage of the discovery of three specimens of the shrub Pittosporum Tanianum (a species which had been declared extinct in 1994) by the DRN-SOUTH and the IAC-FORET between May and October 2002.

- In the framework of action I-9, 26 species of bird have been surveyed at the end of 2002 on the site Nékoro (Poya-North).

- Twelve sites in the North and South provinces , very contrasting but all belonging to the strict sclerophyllous forest typology, have been chosen for the study of the populations and damages of the dear (Action I-10).

- The second part of the study financed by the North province on the control of the little fire ant is not attributed to the Dry Forest Program because it is concerned with a traditional coffee plantation in the Paouta tribe of Pouembout (Action I-11).

- The socio-economic study, lead by a Caledonian DESS (pre-doctoral or Masters) student, will be useful in targetting approaches, relations and projects with the various landowners and forest users. The final report is coming soon
